Work in progress

Things are now somewhat settled. Ryan's back in full swing at work and I'm slowly learning all the ins and outs of Juilliard's ResLife department. We couldn't be happier.
Our apartment is coming together, too, sort of. You'll see in the pictures that it still needs some love, but it's starting to feel like home. Too, I get to paint! So, here's where I need your help. As you can see, our kitchen is tiny. So, what color do you suggest for the walls of the kitchen to make it seem a bit larger than microscopic?
Needless to say, here's the long awaited apartment pics:
The living room. When the window's open it's a great view!
Dining room/kitchen overflow...you'll see why we have overflow in the next picture...
Here's the kitchen. One butt at a time only. Any color suggestions?

The bedroom/laboratory. Objects in image may be larger than they appear.

Holy cow, that's a small kitchen! A little-bitty-kitchenette, I believe they call it. Colors? Maybe mirrors... grin Very cute place, I can't wait to see it in person one of these days. Sounds like you're having fun, that's so great.

I love the new pics. I love the real wood floors along with your red accents. It looks very rich, and some color on the walls would look great! Of course, I love color...I never saw a bucket of paint or a box of hair dye that I didn't want to try!
