This is my supervisor, Sabrina, on the right, and Jodi from NYU. We all stayed in a residence hall suite together.

Through the conference I also got to meet James (pictured below). We drove up together as per arrangements by Sabrina. James works at the New School as a Hall Director. Funny part is that he is originally from Mesa! We hit it off well and will definately be doing some double dating with our significant others.

Then, as many of your kindly remembered and sent e-mails, it was our 1 year anniversary yesterday. Ryan was able to put up with me for 365 days! Here's to many more! Ryan was so sweet and bought me flowers and took me out to dinner at The Boathouse in Central Park. The food was amazing and the ambiance is fantastic. The restaurant is right next to the water and we had a great view. I had the swordfish and Ryan had the salmon. It was a great celebration and we couldn't be happier.

Happy anniversary! Hey, I do have one question though...were you supposed to eat the frozen wedding cake that's in the back of our freezer? Oops.
Sounds like fun! Joanie, I love your haircut - very cute. I celebrate 1 year of being SILs with you.
I'd like to personally take props for all 365 days - somehow I feel that I am the one responsible for such a great marriage since I [being echo and deep voice] "as a minister of the Gospel, by the powers vested [?!?] in me by the State [?!?] of Arizona" started this year-long shin-dig off!
Actually, congratulations. No surprise y'all are still married, by congrats anyway!
Freezing and Wet in Seattle,
D.
