Camera is Fixed

Sorry that it has been so long since I've posted, but my camera has been broken and in the Fuji shop. But, it's back and in action. What has happened in the past month? A lot!

To start, Jeff and Joani visited for a week, and what a whirlwind it was! We had so much fun. There were so many great adventures, it's hard to remember, but here are some of the highlights:

Fun in the shops in Times Square. Here we are at the M&Ms shop.
Monday morning we got in line at 6am at the View studios for standby tickets. Despite our long wait and getting the first four tickets for standby, we didn't get in. But, we still made it fun.

Ryan got a chance to take us to RT to show us his work. Here's Claudio at work.

Naturally, we had a hay day on Wall Street.

Over the weekend, we got to drive up to Carmel to visit Janine and Michael and their new baby, Corrine. It was so wonderful seeing them and their sweet little one.

Another great event that we didn't get pictures of was dinner at our favorite place, Kashkaval, and a night at the Met. We got tickets to La Traviata. Simply amazing.

This weekend was a lot of fun for me and Ryan. For one, Friday was Halloween. I dressed up to help out with the school's Halloween dance.

Saturday Ryan and I adventured out into the city. We started off at Pupper's favorite place, Furry Paws. She loves her treats.

Then we headed to the dog park at 72nd and Riverside. It's great because it's only for small dogs. Puppers did a lot better this time. She was very social with the other dogs and had a great time running around off her leash.

For lunch, Ryan took me to Candle Cafe. I've wanted to go for a long time. The whole place is vegan and super tasty. Ryan and I shared quesadillas, lasagna and chocolate cake. The other amazing part was that two tables down from us was David Duchovny and Tea Leoni. Celeb sighting!!!

Then we went to Fairways for some groceries on the way home. I noticed on the walk home that Ryan had "sprung a leek!"
For once, I let Ryan loose in the kitchen. We prepped carrot, leek mashed rutabagas and a mushroom pasta soup. Ryan's officially been titled my sous chef.

Today, Sunday, we went to the Central Park Zoo after church.
Here's Ryan in the Rainforest with a bird.

My favorite was the polar bear. I think he would get along great with Puppers :).

The park, and the city for that matter, were crazy today because of the New York Marathon. The finish line is in the park along the west side. It was very cool to see the event.

And, the wonderful part about the city is the seasons. The leaves are changing in the park and Ryan fits in nicely with the golden colors.

Finally, tonight we had our official photoshoot for our Christmas card. No releases of the final photo until they're sent in the mail, but let's just say there's a green screen involved.
